SOLD!!!

Purchased In February from authorized dealer.  Lightly used and in mint condition.  Includes all original packaging, remote and manual.  Also included are 4 Tung-Sol replacement preamp tubes – two 12AX7 and two 12AU7, along with Herbie’s Tube Dampers for all 4.  Sweet amp, built like a tank and maybe 150 hours on it.  Paypal and USPS Money Orders accepted.  Buyer pays Paypal fee (if used) and shipping (from 27519).  Lowballers will be ignored and buyers with positive feedback on A’gon or other audio sites are desired.  You can see my feedback under “groovybassist” on A’gon.

Asking $1300 $1100 for the whole package.  Thanks!

For clarification of those interested, I'm not selling this amp as I was unhappy with it - far from it.  I've moved to a new place and have significantly less room for my gear.  Additionally, we have a puppy on the way, and to accommodate the Line Magnetic amp would have meant re-architecting my entire shared living space, which I'm not prepared to do right now.

Some of you may have noticed I've purchased a Red Wine Audio Signature 16 as a replacement.  It too is a terrific amp and great match for my speakers.  It has the added benefit of being small and able to be tucked inside my existing equipment rack, so the puppy can't get at it.  Both pieces are great amps and have their own set of pros and cons.  For my current situation the RWA meets my needs better and makes great music to boot.  For the future buyer of the LM - my loss will be your gain.

Enjoy.

Mike...what kind of power tubes (EL-34s) does it come with?

Thanks,

CD:

It comes with the original "Line Magnetic" branded power tubes.  When I discussed tube rolling with the dealer, he suggested changing the preamp tubes would have a more significant impact on sound vs. the power tubes, hence the extra Tung-Sol preamp tubes.

This amp was my second foray into tubes (first was a longtime ago) - I was impressed with the build quality, bias simplicity and reliability of the amp, not to mention the magic of EL34s. The point-to-point wiring is particularly well executed. Most amps I've seen, including many expensive ones, look like a rats nest inside - definitely not so with this amp. It's really an example of how this should be done.
