That said, my preference is for the low mass Eichmann RCA connectors. All RCA connectors in my Luminous Audio loom are Eichmann copper or silver RCA's. In the spirit of the forum - Cheap and Cheerful - I readily admit we're talking about a steep curve of performance vs. cost here and one pays a lot for the slight degree of improved refinement a pair of $75 RCA connectors brings compared to a $2.00 set of Switchcrafts.
I'll weigh in here. IMO connectors on ICs or speaker cables cannot improve the sound of the cable, they can only harm it. Therefore I look for three factors: good fit, neutral (no harm) sound, and fair cost. I agree that the Eichmanns rate quite highly, if just on the up side of costly (4 for ~ $80). Fit and sound are superb. I use the Eichmann Bullet plugs on all my ICs.

I know this is frustrating now.
4 for $80 I think is just for their standard brass Bullett plugs, I believe. I like the copper ones......though, doing a quick search it doesn't look like the copper Bullets are available anymore? The copper plugs used to be about the price of what those brass plugs run. Maybe I'm getting info mixed up and what Eichmann is calling the "gold" are actually gold plated copper? I could've sworn that Eichmann made 3 types at least at one time (brass, copper, and silver).Wondering if Eichmann's patent ran out and they aren't producing all the options they once had. There's another, less expensive, version of Eichmann Bulletts over at Parts Connection. Interestingly, KLE, stands for Keith Louis Eichmann. Hmmmm....... http://www.partsconnexion.com/connectors_rca_kle.html
