I live here and I've never  visited nor thought about visiting Magnepan.  Heh.. well hmm.  This gives me an idea or three.

Maybe I should dub you my Ace Cub Reporter and you can go in my place.
Don't forget to take that list of questions with you, chain yourself to something stout and tell them you won't leave until they've all been answered to your satisfaction.

I updated the list with a few questions of my own.
Are there any additions you can think of?

1) .7 delivery date/cost/type of feet
2) 1.7i?  Cost?
3) What happens if I ditch the fuses and why do you use the fuse holders that you do?
4) Quality Assurance process
5) experiments with listening positions?
6) experiments with stands?
7)  DMW set up tricks?
8) details of "I" modification - what do we get for the $$$
9) preferred subwoofers
10) what sets them apart sonically in their opinion
11) no model between the 1.7 and 3.7, no model between the 3.7 and 20.7?
12) larger Mini Maggie w/ two DMWs
13) crates for shipping?  how much shipping damage do they see?
14) custom trim options?
15) why do you use the binding posts that you do?
16) new Tympani model?
17) improved instruction manuals, especially DMW
18) possibility of all direct sales in the future?
19) powered DMW?
20) recommended shipping practices
21) trends in voicing new models?
22) preferred set up for speakers?
23) why MDF?
24) why the dearth of information regarding what has changed from the older model to the newer model(s)?
25) are factory employees allowed to post on forums such as this?
26) who comprises the R&D team?
27) what do you see as the biggest challenge to planar speakers in the future other than a shrinking dealer network?
28) do you anticipate mounting a campaign to expand the dealer network?
29) where do you see the company being 10 years from now?
30) will we ever see a Magnepan headphone?
31) will we see the all foil MMG that was thrown out to the inmates on Audio Asylum?
32) what do the big 3 (two Winey, one Diller) use for their own personal stereo systems?
33)  is the home theater market strong or has the pendulum swung strongly back to two channel?
34) are factory employees allowed to participate in the various audio forums or are they prohibited from doing so?
35) actual dipole subwoofer (not just the DMW)

Not as far as I know - Summer is over and my vacation time is just about booked for the remainder of 2014.
I do have a family and other interests, believe it or not.  And then there's that horrible job thing...
Updating the list was just a few things that occurred to me while I had some spare time.

Josh over at the Planar Asylum did a really good write up about his visit and in the reviews section here there's a couple of factory tours.
If you would like to be our roving correspondent I say grab your camera and note pad and go for it!
What's going to end up happening is I'll just email the list in and they can answer the questions (or not) as they see fit.

Done.
I'll give it one more week and then just shoot this over to them.
I'll probably be up in that neck of the woods once it warms up in 2015 so maybe I'll swing by then and watch people fight with adhesives and what not.

I live about 30 minutes from Magnepan and actually picked up my MMG's there and exchanged my 1.6's there for a new pair.  They use to have a pair of old MMG's hooked up to a proton receiver and a Sony Walkman as a CD player in their lobby.  It sounded pretty damn good.

Not yet as Mr. Diller is still jet setting hither and yon.
I'm sure that some of these questions will require approval from the powers that be in order to answer them.
I will post what I get when I get it.

It's been two months now so I guess our questions were especially vexing...

I’m thinking after two months time, we may not get any answers.

Sooner or later I suspect we'll get a reply.  Wendell's no spring chicken and you can't rush these things...

No offence to anyone here, but that list is pretty over the top (taken as a whole). Someone is going to have to go to Wendell in person and perform the vulcan mind meld.
