I have a Plinius SA 50 MK3 Amplifier for sale. It is a second owner amp. First owner had it rated at an 8-9 on the A-gon scale. I want to say it's about a 7-8. See photos as you can zoom in and look at any markings the amp has.
Overall, the amp works and sounds excellent. It has some trouble with certain preamps where only one side of the amp is getting warmed up. Current source has been a Xonar ST driven analog and it warms up perfectly fine and actually sounds exceptional. I also used the preamps I have around and found that one did not do as well as a couple of others. I just wanted to mention this because the previous owner never did since he always had perfect results using his preamp, though I have a few preamps and enjoy experimenting with things.
I've heard some top notch stuff out there. I'd call this the Plinius version of a Pass Labs XA.5 series amp. It's not quite as mechanical sounding as the Pass, but both have great presence and musicality.
If you are concerned with power, I have owned plenty of exceptional amps that have absolutely crushing power to very finesse type power, and this one has the ability to truly open up a speaker that needs some power.
At one time, this amp was said to be a relative of what many consider to be the very best amp ever produced, the Dartzeel. I'm sure the Dartzeel has a bit different sound, but the fundamental is there, so you get something for pennies on the dollar that still does exceptionally well.

I will consider all offers. I just want the amp going to a good home. I can also have it sent to Vince Galbo who was the Plinius importer and knows these amps inside and out. He would be able to do a nice biasing, maybe freshen anything up, and so on for cheap which is what I would personally do if I planned to own the amp for a long time. Or just have a listen, see if it's your cup of tea, then send it to Vince to get the most out of it.
