Question regarding BP26 and 12v triggers
« on: 20 Jun 2014, 01:19 am »
Hi Guys..first post here  :D

I'm new to the Bryston family and after much research I just purchased a BP26 with MPS2 plus 2 7Bsst2's. I've had a custom child proof cabinet made up that I plan to house my equipment in and want to avoid having to open the cabinet to power components on and off as much as possible. It seems after reading the manuals that you can trigger the power amps via the switched trigger outputs on the MPS2 which would allow me to turn the amps on and off via the mute button on the BP26 remote. If that is in fact possible it would mean I can almost accomplish what I want apart from being able to power on and off the BP26 via remote.

I guess this is the meat of my question...is it a problem to leave the BP26 powered on 24/7 and simply have it muted when i'm not using it to power off other components? Would this use allot of electricity? Is there any way to power the BP26 on or off via a remote?

Thanks in advance.
