Bourne Identity Special Edition worth anything?

I would like to own this movie, but I am not sure which version.

There is the standard one.
There is a special edition, with extra footage etc.

I am not a collector or anything, and don't expect it to gain value or anything, I just wonder if anyone has seen both, and can comment on which one is better.

From what I gather the new and improved is sans DTS. If that is important to you stay away from the new one.

The alternate ending and beginning are practically worthless, as they add nothing to the movie and are very low resolution , were the rest of the movie is a reference transfer on either edition.

You get a free ticket to the Bourne Supremecy in the special edition but lose out on DTS.
