Go to the multichannel audio and digital domain department here on AC and read up on the $179 JVC ES1SL amp. That will leave you some bucks left over for speakers.

i saw a used nOrh se-9 on audiogon, asking $300. That and some nOrh 4.0 or 3.0 spkr ought to do the trick.
