not sure the lamms would be wery impressive alone.  i tink they'd be better w/speakers, source, preamp...

also not sure i'd take that system over any vmps system.  i heard the wilson whamms a few years ago & was extremely underwhelmed.  also, i know that someone got rid of his watt/puppy/7's in favor of the rm40s (early iteration w/o all the present upgrades).  same w/the m-l prodigy's...  as always, personal taste will play a big role...

ymmv,

Yes!!!  Great looking (and I bet sounding) system.  Nice selection of components too.

Moving it to a room where you can put up treaments will (beleive it or not) change the sound for the better to a large degree.

Shoot, just throwing a blanket over the coffee table will erase a lot of early reflections.  Although the brushed aluminium finsish does nicely match the Rowland gear :D

What kind of treatments are you considering?  I already see the bass traps.

Thanks

If I listened to my system without treatments as you see in the pictures, It would sound like I have a Bose reflective system.  I pull out a large number of Sonex to treat first order and the table.  My system is severly handicapped as everyone has suggested until I move and treat the room.  I'm looking to use Real Traps and I'm considering have Rives design the room treatment.

This is probably one of THE most important things to make even a modest system sound great.   The ASC studio traps are gone since they weren't effective enough to deal with my problems.

Chris,

The MiniTraps are the real deal and made a much bigger impact in my room than competing products from ASC, Echo Busters, and others whose name I can't recall right now.

I have 8 MiniTraps in my room (25x18x7) right now and will most likely add a few more plus I might add their new ones for the upper corners.

Call up Ethan and talk to him.  He is easy to deal with and will genuinely try to help and not just sell you something.  I have had the luxury of having Ethan over a few times and he has been quite helpful.

Very nice system you got there.  Perhaps I may try your setup when I win the $200 mil  jackpot this weekend.   Until then, I will just have struggle and make ends meet with my modest RM40 pair.
