I have X-LS Encore for my front stage with a X-CS Encore for a center channel. Now it's time to upgrade my surrounds from LX5's to a pair A/V-1RS. What would be the results of using the Encore components instead of of the A/V-1's?

A/V-1's, the A/V-1RS, and the X-Series Encore speakers are all very different. The parts do not interchange.  Only the designed crossover will work properly with each speaker. Mixing them will make a mess of the response.

And another good thing about all of those kits is that none of them are very expensive.
