Just received the following email from one of the first EVS-1 cable users:
Hi Ric. I just wanted to thank you about how magical your EVS Interconnect cable is. When I got it 3 days ago, my initial hope and excitement actually turned into somewhat of a worry at first. I was using Crimson cable IC cable which has worked very well for me previously. Although your IC cable sounded slightly better, I was not sure it was really worth changing. I began to hate the fact that I'm an audiophile, always hoping to improve my system but not achieving that goal at all no matter what I do. I have Wilson Sophia speakers and LFD NCSE integrated amp and Sony HAP Z1ES as a music server/player. Being an audiophile has been a silently frustrating journey because I never really liked my system that much although it's not exactly a cheap set up. Sure, it sounded just fine but never amazing. However, when I listened to my audio one day later using the EVS IC cable, the unthinkable happened. Literally. I could not believe that I had the same system except your new IC cable. The music now has so much more clarity and pureness with outstanding dynamics and musicality. All my CDs sounded amazing, even the ones I did not think much of before. It was an absolute, instantaneous transformation. I am now grateful that I am an audiophile. It is an absolute aural thrill to listen to all my music. I now love my speakers, my integrated amp and the music player. I just cannot believe your IC cable could make that much difference. By the way, you are absolutely correct about the directionality of the IC cable. I thought it was sort of a voodoo idea but it is true nonetheless. One direction sounds more correct and sounded much better than the opposite direction. I do not understand the rationale for this but I can hear the difference. Your damping material for EVS IC cable is also wonderful since your IC cable truly comes alive with the damping material. I so eagerly wait for you to mod my Sony HAP Z1ES to the next level of audio experience, the "rapture with music".
