I believe Klaus is referring to the Symphonic Line CD player.  I am sure it is ultra expensive  :)

Wow!

Thank you Klaus - not only for providing some incredible sounds, but putting up with our little group with wonderful spirit and humor!  :thumb:

What can I say that hasn't already been said? This has got to be one of the best values in high end audio.

 :o

Everything you need but the source for $6700 ???

Afterwards, we were sitting around down in the lobby with a glass of wine discussing these speakers and the rest of the system shaking our heads in disbelief. If we ever need to start a second system, or recommend something to a friend for somewhere around this amount, this is an absolute no brainer. Klaus told us that these speakers share similarities with another speaker (that I happen to think very highly of) but at a fraction of the cost. He's right. That same characteristic sound is very present in these speakers. He played a very wide selection of music for us and even kranked up some good ol' R&R to about as loud as I could take it in that sized room and nothing sounded like it was straining. Yet at the same time, I think that it sounded fantastic on more intimate music whether it was Jazz, Chorale, or Female vocals.

Combined with GIK (yes, I bought some of the room demos and took them hoe - to be tested out later when I recover enough to lug everything upstairs), this was the best room for the money at the show that I heard.

Well done!

Klaus has every right to be extremely proud of these speakers and this system. Has one of the members of our group thinking of trying out his amplifiers. If he does, I will anxiously await his feedback.

(sorry I didn't get a better shot of the electronics )

Amazing!

Great demo Klaus.  Thanks for taking the time to explain your process and philosophy
regarding your designs.

Would love to get some track listings of your music demos, The Rose by a Swedish singer?, and even the opera track.

Cheers.

That was totally not what I expected.

I had the impression that Klaus was an unapproachable old fart with a bad attitude, bad breath and no sense of humor.  His postings here are always brief, stoic and to the point.  Boy was I wrong.  A visit to his room at THE Newport Show gave me a new guru on dynamic range, imaging and detail to follow.  He does have a bad attitude about his competitors.  He thinks they are selling their goods for way too much money.  Based on his pricing for high quality electronics and speakers?  They are.

A visit with Klaus was a breath of fresh air in a hotel floor full of stuffy overpriced Prima Donnas'.   He actually took plenty of time to accommodate our group with a high quality demonstration.  Our demo was more fun than squishen tadpoles.  The confirmation of all of his Teutonic Bravado was in a listen to his offerings.   He told us what to listen for then delivered.  It was the old predict and prove method of selling.  Everyone else in the building had forgot that we were there to listen to what made their products better.  Not to listen to their favorite esoteric orchestral Buddha bar artist on some over critiqued coffin sized endangered species boxes.  Ya just can't play music and let it do the talking.  Thanks Klaus.

I would quickly recommend this system to anyone.   I have a few in mind.

Our group is all considering how we can get a fully loaded set of Khartago monos home to listen to on a pair of GR Research LS6 or LS9 speakers.   And we do mean loaded.  All of the special Klaus secret sauerkraut and Symphonic goodness.   Fill that chassis up with high current and rich nuggety flavor.  We all want to upgrade now that we have heard what the company can do for less than $7K.

The system he was showing us was one of the best systems at the show and for 10% of the cost.   Alex at WyWires said it was probably the good cables.

Klaus you are a pleasure and a treasure.  Thanks for being there.  We hope to see you next year or perhaps at the California Show in Northern California.

Cheers,

Steve

That was a good room. I agree with Cheesy  :icon_lol: big badda boom bang for buck. I would love to hear the Odyssey mono decked out against my BMC for which I've grown quite fond of. The speakers too, need a visit to my "showroom". Our Bay Area group would surely give them a workout and their dues.

How the hell did I miss Steve at the show? He can't be missed

 Missed SOR too!

Time for another get-together.

What's this Kismet amplifier I saw in the Odyssey website?

Yep, Klaus is one of the good guys.  :thumb:

Cheese, if these are still available: http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=124821.msg1317846#msg1317846 (if I had a reason, I would have probably gone for them myself) dig the change out of the couch cushions for a crazy good deal.

Rock on, friends!

I wasn't at Newport but heard the system at rmaf 2013, and I agree its one of the best values in the business. The speakers have great tweeters which are unheard of at the price and it really makes the system shine imo.

The Part Time Audiophile needs to get a promotion to full time and a pay raise.  He hit that one clearly between the eyes.

Again, thanks for the hospitality Klaus and the great attitude towards this crazy business.
