HTC One M8

SO my computer can't see my HTC one M8 because you need a sync program? I thought I was done with that stupid shit... Wonderful punch to the old sack, again. I guess the only way around it is to throw stuff on a miniSD card.... defeating the USB cable and ease. The only reason for it is no need to mount/unmount for safety.

Also I'm getting my texts on my iphone.... ha. I think that's not a hard fix.

Camera is better than I thought. It's initial settings may not be as smart as iphone's, because I think I can pull similarly well pictures.

It's going to take a few days to adjust.

It appears some nerds have made Linux compatible in certain ways. I'm not sure if I'm going to get into all the terminal typing and stuff, maybe just be hopeful for a GUI

When you plug the phone into the computer look at the "USB file sharing" mode.  This mode is accessed on the phone, you will see two USB icons on the top status bar, one of those is for the file sharing mode.   Select "Disk Drive" in place of "HTC Sync Manager".  Your pictures will be in the DCIM folder.

Na

I downloaded gmtp, works fine with Linux. It crashes easy if you get excited and try to do more than one thing with it at a time.

What's real tough is no txt yet. Plus the Verizon messaging app or whatevs is stupid. I have to get through to their tech support to kill it, but it's been over an hour of waiting.... The calm message program shows me thousands of contacts I don't want to see....

Thankfully the internet on it isn't such a crawl.... It's a bit silly that the typing on internet doesn't track well, as in it doesn't auto scroll for some reason.

I got it all running pretty smooth now. The camera really seriously does work in low light!

Plugged it into stereo.... Absolutely listenable. It's better than a lot of cheaper sources. The "boomsound" feature is a joke on real speakers, but nice with the free headphones. I'll have to try flac... Ha! Mp3's aren't boring me.

My iphone4 was unlistanable on my stereo.
