Do I need a 7.2 receiver to hook two powered subwoofers?
Thanks! Todd

Not really.  If you had a 5.1 system, you can hook up two, but they would put out the same information with a Y connector.

If you had a 7.1 system, same thing.  Most lower end receivers have a Y connector inside and have two RCA connectors for sub 1 and sub 2, but are really combined information.

If you have a dedicated 7.2 or higher system, there maybe independent control over each sub when setting it up.  Is it needed, no, is it nice, yes.

If you just want surround sound with 7.1 or higher, go find a b stock piece on accessories4less and you can get started.  Remember, most information below 80 hz is not localized, as you get higher in the frequency, you can start to pick out where subs are.  So, below 80, you are good.

I am looking to add a second sub to my existing ULS-15. The only place I can put it is at the front right next to my tv. Is that going to be a problem with a sub that can go so low (harming the tv)

No.

If it was it would not matter where in the room you placed it.
