Up for sale is my BAT VK-3 preamp. New tubes purchased all from Upscale audio in Dec 2013 (EH 6922 gold pins) recommended by Kevin Deal and VK to use 6922 tubes in the preamp. I have tried Bugle boys, Sovtek's and Matsush!ta tubes and the EH tubes have the lowest noise and no microphonics. Purchased Pope 6v6's in Dec 2013 as well from Upscale with well less than 100 hours on them. All tubes are platinum grade and costed about ~250$ all in all.
Only flaw is that one of the tube socket's top plate is loose. The actual socket is soldered securely to the board. The top plate seems to act as a dust cover? No noise from this and performs flawlessly. Feel free to drop by for an audition.
No remote or phono in this preamp.
