Hi GRD

Regarding the low voltage on my Cornet ... Thought I'd let you know that I checked line voltage at about 1:00 am this morning figuring usage would be low and voltage may be up.  Sure enough, line was at just shy of 121 volts.  Put the Cornet on the "bench" and rechecked voltages.  All the higher voltages (B+ etc) were all within a few volts of spec.   Voltage at that 2.4 ohm Resistor was up now to 8.2 volts dc and filament voltage now was at 6.2 volts.
So, looks like all the issues were definitely line voltage related.

Checked tube data for the 12AX7 and filament voltage is given as 6.3 volts +/- 20% which puts the minimum right around 5 volts.  Since I dropped to just under 5.5 volts this afternoon with 111 volts on the line, and it's still well within the range for the tube, I guess there isn't much to worry about.  This makes me feel better about things anyway.

Thought you might like to know so there ya go.

And thanks again for all your help !

Back to just enjoying the music  :D
