Scott - just got the main room up and running over the past couple of weeks.  I used the RTA and it measured nicely from the listening position.  I am not entirely done with audio stuff yet (below are a couple of more systems including the Candela preamp in one).  In the current room the space behind the two chairs has a half wall/counter and opens to the kitchen.  I do have a wall about 6 feet wide with some natural diffusion/artwork and may add to that at some point (and that is pretty much the biggest extent of wall space in the entire room).  FL houses tend to have open floor plans and little wall space.

I like them lots.  I like to have different systems (for both music and movies) that allow me to take the media and compare.  They are for a small room and they are in a small spare bedroom.  They work very well in there (I have a doorway at at angle as the room is not a rectangle and I was going to get MMGs but upon measuring the wall that was going to be a tough fit and having a pair of the Micro Walshes come available at the time I closed on the house in April 2013 - I just grabbed them and stuck them in a closet until I moved in later in the year).  On their own, they don't do super deep bass (more like a medium sized bookshelf speaker - from memory specs say 47Hz at -3db), but I have them with a Rel Strata III sub.  I'm still getting used to them.  It still is a bit of a freak out when you walk about a foot in front of the plane of the speakers and in the middle and can hear the imaging like someone is in front of you and about a foot or so down from your head singing from the TV - I have ASC Sound Planks with velcro on the sides of the TV.  I tried them with bother the Candela and Sherbourne preamps (I have a shallow depth Bryston 3BST that fits behind the TV) and much prefer the Candela (after the 2013 Capital Audiofest when I picked up the Candela I had it in the basement system with the Bryston on the B&Ws for about 5 months before I packed stuff for the move).  If you listen to the type of music that doesn't have bass content you can live without the sub.  I have Rel 2 Storm IIIs in the main system and a Q150 in the system with the B&Ws so it is hard for me to live without it.  I even have a sub in the office system.  They are clearly a step up from MMGs (which I've heard many times and help set up a friends and several other pairs of Maggies).  I'd say I even like them better than the Maggie 1.6s (I helped set up many pair of those).  They are also easier to place.

Glad you're liking and getting use of the Ohm Walsh's.  But better than Maggies - sacrilege!  Would seems to be very different speakers at least.....

Jon - at least the 1.6s in my opinion (and only in a small room).  From what I heard of the 1.7s in the store vs. the 1.6s in the same room at an earlier date, the 1.7s were clearly better.  Right now I am considering sometime in the near future going to network playback and moving the HAL MS-2 to the room with the Teac DAC.  Maybe earlier next year.

Klaus - thanks.  Since it is an integrated A/V system, I did not want the screen height to be as high in my old set-up.  Much better, especially since the sitting position is only about 10 feet from the 100 inch screen (vs. about 14 in the old place).  Definitely better for the audio in terms of not transmitting vibrations (probably the net weight of the rack is about 350 lbs.) and also being lower (so there is nothing up high between the midrange and tweeters) and no glass doors like the old set-up.

Not only did Odyssey produce some of the best sound at the show- last year and this year- he did it at the bottom of the price range. Only "The Clue" little minimonitor gave him a run for his money on value.
Go Odyssey. The hobby needs more Odysseys and fewer $1500 speaker cables IMHO.

Thanks dbC.....as for the players,  there are only around 100 units or so in the country,  and good luck trying to find a unit used...the Symphonic Line players are incredible,  best I have ever used.
As for what I use, and what I love,  a used Vibrato or Klarheit 2 should set you back anywhere below or in the 2's......

if you guys ever run across a Timbre Technology TT1 DAC (usually around $ 500, at least 13 years old)  grab it...don't wait,  RUSH.
I used to demo with him at shows in the late 90's.............
Still the single most musical DAC I have ever heard,  even though obviously technology itself went on,  but man oh man,  the emotional connection...wonderful.
