 I have a vintage JVC QL7 quarts lock manual turntable with an original power cord that is not polarized.
Maybe polarization of the power cord isn't important, or it is?
If it is, how can I tell if I’m orienting the power cord in my wall outlet correctly?  There are no markings on the cord that I've noticed.
   
 Do I find out by trying the plug oriented into the outlet both ways and listening, or should I take the back of the table apart as seen below and see which wire goes to the motor or circuit board and that will tell me, or , can I check it somehow with a volt meter?
Maybe I’m beating a dead horse and it doesn't really matter .

The only issue I know of and have had experience with is hum with a non-polarized plug, and that was on my Empire. I guess if you don't have a hum problem either way, then your good to go.

I don't have any hum problems with my JVC QL7 at all. I'll try the plug on the TT oriented both ways this weekend and report back.
