OK, I know I'm an idiot, but I've never had a problem like this before. All I wanted was a better way to download large hi-res files over my flaky connection. Now I can't even read PDF files. I suppose I should have tested it on a VM first... that'll teach me. Anyway, anyone with (practical) advice?
