Inexpensive RCA switch box with VOL
« on: 23 Mar 2014, 11:01 am »
Any one know a rca type switch box for use of different sources that has a volume control and that is not too expensive?
I have found a couple passive ones like the channel island,g oldpoint and iluminous but they are rather expensive.

IMO $300 is not expensive for the Channel Island VPC-3, a high quality passive.  A pair of good stepped attenuators from a cottage source, without case or 2nd input, cost half that much:

I've owned both of the above.  Watch out for interconnect impedances.  Without changing cables I got better results from plugging the attenuators directly into the back of my mono blocks.
