Hi all.
I wasn’t sure if should post this on Danny’s GR Research or Louis Omega circles.
I bight the sub-woofer from Danny, even if they are Eminence and I bought the Omega extended range driver from Louis.
So, I’ve decided to post this on “ Enclosures “ because it is an enclosure, even if it is an open baffle enclosure.
I am sure this post will make Danny Ritchie smile, because many times he told me that wheel are no good on an enclosure, especially with sub-woofer, well he did not use exactly those words, but that’s what he meant.
It’s what I call a combo, rubber feet for ceramic tiles floor
and retractable spikes for hard wood floor.
Since I have carpet with ceramic floor underneath, I decided to use the rubber foot.
Unless someone object to my thinking?
I am open to suggestions.
Now, did it make any improvement on the sound?
Maybe yes, maybe no, but right now, I can’t hear any improvement, but as usual, that’s me and me Guy 13, I am not very good at hearing improvement unless it’s huge.
But, if that’s the way to do it (As per Danny (Audio God) Ritchie)
I will do it.
Regardless of the results.
Rubber feet at Dung Audio are 0.50 USD each.
Spikes made in Vietnam at a local machine shop according to my own design were 1.50 USD each parts and labor.
When it comes to small uncomplicated and straight forward things like that, I love the cheap Vietnamese labor.
Below a few self explanatory pictures.
