Danny/Dodd can do no problem. $20 ea I think (Danny correct me if I'm wrong). Easy to do, take off 4 screws to remove rear plate, send to Danny or Gary, put back on.

I sent some emails through ebay to that seller a while back asking about these drivers, as they had a prior listing that had a description for the 12" drivers with a title/pictures for the 15" ones.  If these are the same ones as I discussed with them prior, if I remember correctly two are new and two are used/off demo.

The parent company for this seller is a commercial/PA audio custom installer (large venue work).  The rep I worked with was very nice and willing to help out.  I (obviously) didn't complete any business with them, but I just thought I would vouch for these folks for as far as I spoke with them about these drivers.

. . . and now that I'm thinking on it, I really have to take time to make up a trading post ad.  I've got a pair of these drivers I bought from another member a while back.  They were tested for working, I had Gary mill out the backs, and I put them back in the box, so not so much as even started to be broken in yet.  I originally picked them up as spares for my own super-v build.

Trouble is, in January I kind of had a. . . housing malfunction. . . that destroyed my super-v cabinets along with my original pair of coaxes.  The ceiling in my living room partially caved in. . . right above my gear.  The cabinets, crossovers, and coaxes were a loss (I might be able to salvage some parts off of the damaged drivers which I put in a corner for whenever I can get around to them), my housing arrangement has been. . . challenging. . . at best, and any open baffle speakers I could have would end up being headphones on the couch next to me with the little living space I have left.  This is actually the second time that I've put a set of cabinets for these drivers into the dumpster.

So, I don't really have the space anymore and all things considered kind of need a break on the V project. . . sorry for the little rant, but I've been out of the loop for a while and stumbled on this thread on the top of the AC home page.  It just reminded me that I should probably get the extra drivers out of here before I have to move them again. . .

This must have been hard to swallow. The odds of something like this happening are so small you sort of have to laugh. It's either laugh or be angry. Very angry.

Sorry for your loss

I think the FR of this driver was posted at one time.

Yeah, at this point I've got to be sneaking up on a total investment that could have bought a completed pair of S7's.   The second time, it was kind of like when the last new car I bought got wrecked while parked in an empty parking lot less than two weeks after I took delivery.  No point in being angry at something you really can't do anything about; just kind of have to regroup and handle it.

Thanks for your thoughts!

Hey, my advice is to just go for the S7's!  Probably the best speakers I've ever heard.
