How to make bargain Nanook 219 tonearm

This is a big bang for the buck tonearm.  Read this long running thread if you want to make your own tonearm.  How good is this tonearm?  You will have to read the entire thread.  If you are lucky, you can buy one.  Read post #654 and post #668.

I love these kind of diy projects.

I will read much of the thread tonight.


I skimmed the first couple of pages, but I did not see a post with the actual plans. Is there one? Or does one just have to put together a bunch of posts to figure them out?

Interesting thread, nonetheless.

Nanook is a great guy and a nice guy to talk to.  This tonearm for Nanook is a labor of love.  He hates to see people spend a lot of money on a quality tonearm.  Hopefully, you will be able to build one if you are interested in diy.  Any questions please post in the Nanook 219 tonearm thread at diyaudio.
