Announcement
« on: 18 Mar 2014, 10:54 pm »
Hi All,

I would like to announce that Canada Rob will be a big part of my team. He already does all my website work and will be taking care of the new Omega store that we will be building soon as well as all his contributions here at our forum.

He is most knowledgeable in all things Omega and I couldn't be happier.

We are working on updating the website with more content and the newest versions of the Super 7 series.

Thanks again,
Louis

Hi Canada Rob.
If you cross the border and you move your audio boutique to the US
will you change your name from Canada Rob to USA Rob ?

Guy 13

I hope you will not give up your Canadian citizenship?
If you are like me, you are proud to be a Canadian
even living in a another country.

Hopefully the information will be more free flowing (less piecemeal, more constant) and keep Louis hard at work creating and building.   :whip: :eyebrows: :shake: :D

Hello beowulf,
Right now my family and I have just finished a big move (boxes everywhere), and when I can get some reasonable order around here, I hope to go at this hammer and tong.  Hopefully mid April I will be at it.

Canada Rob,

Best of luck with the continued Omega website design and upcoming online store.  I too share your passion for the Omega speaker - Decware amp combination, it has served me very well and is most enjoyable.  The fact that Louis and Steve make these products available to the music loving community and has proven to be one of your top selling combinations illustrates that you don't have to spend a CRAP TON on money to have a good sounding system.

Neither company has a big advertising budget and both owners are committed to providing quality products and superior customer support.  So, word of mouth endorsements (and reviews)in the online audiophile community is important for their continued success. Long live the SET sound and high efficiency single driver speakers.

Hello Guy,
You just need to come home, then you can become Canada Guy.
I have never spoken to Guy (whose posts I enjoy greatly - please keep them up, Guy) but if he is like my other French speaking friends from Montreal he pronounces his name "Gee" (hard G). Which would make him Canada Gee (not to be confused with Canada Geese). Just sayin'

Hi Canada Rob.
I would love to go back home and be called Canada Guy.
But unfortunately, that's not possible, at least right now.

Canada Guy or Guy 13 or Vietnam Guy....

Hi CSI (What ever that means.... )
Yes, you are right, it should be pronounced something like: Gee
I a;ways ask my American neighbors to pronounce my name Gee.
I've been called many times Le Quack (My French family name is : Leduc)
Le = The Quack = Duc = Duck = Quack, quack...
Get it ?
One true story.
If you take my name Leduc and separate it in two parts it becomes:
Le Duc
add some accents and it's a genuine Vietnamese name.
Family name: Lê and given name : Duc
and then you can add my middle name : Ghi in Vietnamese for Guy
and there you go, a complete genuine Vietnamese name.
That's why every times the Vietnamese see my passport,
they start talking to me in Vietnamese thinking that I am a Vietnamese.
No joke, it happens all the time.
Four times I've been taking for a Vietnamese by four different French Canadians
that did not know me and told me that I speak good French for a Vietnamese.
Again, no joke. I swear to God.
Ho yea and many times I was taken for a Chinese.
Do I look like a Chinese or Vietnamese?
I think not, but they must think otherwise.

Guy 13
Le Duc Ghi. (Vietnamese name)
Guy Leduc (French Canadian Name)

Hello Guy,

Thanks for the clarification. When I first joined AudioCircle I was working for Custom Solutions International, thus CSI. It seemed like a handy choice at the time. When I was with them I traveled extensively around the world and spent a lot of time in Canada. I'm still in touch with a few friends in Quebec.
An interesting take on your last name. To make it even more interesting, as I'm sure you know, the French dominated Vietnam for many years. I'm sure you could tell us a lot about the remaining French influence. I've been told it was the French that taught the Vietnamese how to be good cooks!

Bonjour,

Bill Organ (CSI)

Hi FireGuy
If I was a hockey player, I would like to be called :
Maurice Rocket Richard.
If you don't know him,
he was the greatest hockey player of his time.
For now, I am happy with my name
but when I am in heaven,
you can call me : Saint Guy !

Hi (Again) FireGuy.
Yes, I do remember the French Connection,
but for me that was a long time ago.
Why do you ask ?
