Apple mini hook-up

I'm hoping I'm in the right spot, if not please redirect. Anyway, I have a modded Mac mini hooked up to 1TB external HD. I want to replace the present 1 TB HD with a Drobo External HD Bay. The problem is my brain is having a brain fart and I can't figure out how to make it work. Do I need the Drobo Dashboard software installed on the Mac Mini? What else am I missing? Stayed up far too late and my brain is fried. Thanks for any help!! :duh: :scratch: :duh:

I have the same set up and yes you have software installed. I have one problem  with my Drobo the fan is noisy, so I have to put in vented cabinet so I don't hear it.
