For orders placed in the next 2 weeks, shipment will be via express courier from Taiwan.  Please consider buying one!  Shipping the balance back to the USA to be sent out again seems like a waste, right?

Didn't you post a picture of this amp?  Hmmm, maybe I was looking at a different post?

Anyway, had a question...   Does this amp need break in time?   I know the TA2024 sounds a lot better once it's run for couple hundred hours.

Hi,

Break in seems to be quite a hot topic just like cables are in hifi.  I'd expect once the components have settled in after a few hours should be able to determine whether you like the amplifier or not.  I've always wanted to purchase a Virtue Audio product and I've pre-ordered the One.3 which I'm going to partner with my Red Wine Audio Imod and Nuforce s9 speakers.  Yep those speakers originally retailed for about $5000US.

I'll post a review once I've received mine.

The first feeling is that the mid-high range sounds harsh and sterile. This attitude changes over time as break-in proceeds. Many suggest at least 100 hours of break-in...in my opinion things get better (and interesting )) after a couple of days.
Harshness disappears and what you get is an extreme transparency and detail in the mid and high range. Voices, in particular, appear crystal clear and very natural. Even tiny details, such as the sound of opening lips, are revealed effortlessly.

I have an MS fundraiser bike ride (in texas) that weekend and then a sales kick-off for my day job the next week.

There is an additional 2-3 day delay to solve a small issue discovered after mounting boards in case.

International customers will get DHL tracking.

US and Canadian customers will have their units repackaged and sent after they arrive here.  Could be as late as 31st.

iMake is running late.  Metal is taking another 4 weeks and we're doing some tweaks to make it work better with other 3rd party boards which we'll announce soon.
