I am offering for sale a very nice system of 5 SVS (SV Sound) sealed monitor speakers, 3 centers and 2 bookshelves. The pics show 4 bookshelves, but 2 have sold. These are from SVS's second "S" series and feature a 1" soft dome tweeter and 6" polypropelene woofers. They are a sealed enclosure, designed specifically for a 2nd order acoustic rolloff 80hz. Combined with setting your sub to an 80hz crossover, you'll have a perfect 4th order crossover right at 80hz. I can personally attest that they sound incredible under this setting.
Use the front 3 as your L/C/R with two stacked vertically. The other two bookshelves are perfect for surrounds and rear surrounds in a 5.1 or 5.2 system (or heights or wides if your receiver allows it). I used this as a 7.1 for a couple weeks, then I replaced 5 of the speakers (came into some even nicer ones through a friend, accidentally) and just kept a pair of bookshelves for surround duty for another 6 months. They've basically sat dormant in a smoke free, pet free home for the majority of time I've owned them. Grills are included, as are original boxes. For the center channels, they come with a small stand/angling device, and I am missing just one of those. Not that you need it, since two will be stacked on end anyway (2 out of 3 include that small stand, so you'll have an extra). They show scuffing on the back/bottoms of some as I had them mounted to a speaker stand through the attached mounting holes. As you can see from the pics are in great shape. Grills look perfect, the speakers function perfectly and have very few hours on them.
I've never driven them hard or even anywhere near movie theater levels. If I had a second system, these would undoubtedly be it! Unfortunately I don't, and I just need the space.
These retail for $300 per pair for bookshelves and $200 each for the center channels for a total of $900 retail. I'm offering them approximately half of that, at $425 + actual shipping + you cover Paypal fees. If you are local to Hampton Roads, Virginia will do $350 cash.
