Hi Big Red,

I'd like to test it out if you don't mind. I'm in Chicago and would be happy to deliver it to Roscoe or pick it up from him.

Thanks

Jack

A slight correction in location. I am in Oregon, but that should not create a problem.  :D

Should be here to me in Cincinnati on Monday. Really looking forward to it. Thank Big Red Machine. My system has 3 dedicated lines. One is for source components analog and digital, the second line is for a tube preamp and one power amp, the third line is for an active Xover and a second power amp in my bi-amp setup.

Should I try it with my source components first or does it matter, just wondering.

Thanks,
WN

Yes/maybe!  Try it with everything.  I am interested in how many of you experience deltas between outlets.  It is not like having one directly in the wall from the breaker box, but pretty close.

Big Red Machine,

Your DIY distribution box arrived safe and sound today. I’ll be hooking it up this weekend.
I was floored when I pulled it out of the box :o. What a beautifully hand crafted piece of equipment .
It looks like it was manufactured by one of the highest end audio companies in the industry. Makes some of my equipment look like it was purchased at Walmart. And that power cord, holy shit it’s nice, my DIY power cords now look like toys.

Your pictures don’t do this unit justice, and if this is tinkering I can’t imagine what you’d build if you really sat down and put your mine into something. Beautiful piece of work.

Steve, give that power cord a whirl.  You might like it.

I can't take credit for the box, it's foreign-built, but yeah, it's stout.

Have fun!

Okay Mike, but after it comes back around through Texas, CA, Northwest, Chicago.  I am trying to keep shipping costs down for each participant by moving it in a chain.  Unfortunately we already were in NH at the start.  But we can go around again.

Big Red...

I'm going to have to reluctantly remove myself from the list of tour recipients. I lost my left channel last night.....and the end result is that my amp will have to go back to VTL for repair. I'm likely to be down for an undetermined amount of time.

I appreciate allowing me to be a part of this. Maybe next time. :(

Take care,
Bob

BRM,

I'm looking forward to this even more so now as I have purchased a PiAudio UberBUSS with cryogenically treated outlets ( with a power cord included for my audition). I expect to take delivery by the end of next week.  I understand your distribution box has no filtration. When I receive yours, I will get to do some A/B testing between the two units in order to really hear what can be achieved.

If fate allows me to receive your box before AXPONA, should I bring it with me to ship to the next participant from Chicago?

Early B.

I'm interested in participating, as well, when or if it rotates back to the east coast. I'm in Georgia.

When do we get some feedback? Which outlets did you prefer?

Let's divert to Georgia to EarlyB.  Then EarlyB can send to SClark in Texas.

I preferred the afterburner8 the most.
