This Gimballed arm is the same arm as is on my Traveler, and has no easy way to adjust azimuth. Keep that in mind.

Also keep in mind that VPI likes to provide that 'upgrade path' mentality to its turntable lineup so has to hit many different pricepoints. It seems more of a business decision than anything else.

Best,
Anand.

No Azimuth adjustment at all on the Rega.    They don't think fine tuning the azimuth makes a significant difference.

I just called Music Direct they said they didn't even get the Companion yet  so I guess at this time I wont worry about it .

Really like the unipivot on my Classic I. Have never felt the need to adjust azimuth (my table was set up by Galen Carol Audio.   Am thinking of saving up to try the 3D printed arm, though...

One could have a gimbaled arm and spend much less...

Think you made a good choice.

Let us know what you think...indeed, many have told me that the Classic w/JMW arm + Zephyr is an awesome combination.

Sorry to read that.  If you live in proximity of a VPI dealer they're not allowed to sell it to you.

Don't know if that's the reason, any thoughts on how you'll proceed?

IIRC, VPI was going to post something about unipivot vs gimballed on their webpage. They seemed to indicate on their Facebook page (again, IIRC) that there were some carts that were better for certain types of arms.
