Are you referencing the TPA3116 2.1? According to ebay, power output is stated as '50W+50W+100W Class D'.
I have the smaller TPA3110, which is rated at less than 10wpc.  It does a great job of driving the Pioneer 41s.
It just depends on how loud you want to go and how big your room is, music style, etc.

If your are going to go for a T-amp then go with one with more power like this Topping TP-60

http://www.tpdz.net/en/products/tp60.htm

or the Dayton DTA 120

Although that Onkyo 9555 that I posted is a great buy and you won't have any worries about power.

Here is a nice review on it-

FYI, The TPA amps are not Tripath chips. They also sound much better than any of the Tripath. The TPA3110 is 10w, but the 3116 listed earlier is capable of 50w stereo and 100w mono.

Thanks for the correction but I was aware that those are chips and not amps.  I still stand by the little dayton amp and topping.  Fed a good source the dayton amps sound spectacular and I would expect the same from the TP-60.

I have a Dayton amp with a modified Maverick Audio tube preamp/dac driving my Monitor Audio Silver S1's in my master bedroom and I am constantly astounded by the sound in my 17x17x12 room.

These amps are very intriguing, but it seems everyone is using them with fairly efficient speakers. The Pioneers are 85db @ 1 watt. Also, the physical size of caps seems rather quite small considering the claimed power output. What am I missing?

You're hearing from multiple folks that have used these amps with the exact speakers you're trying to pair with.
What other questions do you have?

Here are the Pioneer BS22-LR's powered by a TPA 3116. I also have driven the Pioneers with a Topping, Dayton DTA100 and TK2050/Meanwell. It's no contest as the TPA 3116 sounds better and delivers more power than the others. Pair the TPA 3116 with a $50 6n3 preamp and it goes to another level.

Looking at the TPA thread, I got the impression most people were using various speakers by Klipsch, Lowther and Various types of horns... In any case, my budget will allow me to spend considerably more, especially if it is merited. So in other words, although the TPA at its price point is untouchable, is there something else that would make for a functionally better match with the Pioneer BS22 speakers for a few hundred dollars more?

yes, I have read that the TPA amps were much better than the T-amps. Have you tried any other types of amplifiers with your Pioneers?

Why do you want to spend hundreds for an amp to drive the pioneers?  They are nice little speakers but thats about it.  I have heard them hooked up to a $7000 system and I was not impressed.  They sounded good for the money but not great.

Hey Poultry, Its BR from the AR forum.  Whats up?

PG, I still hang around AR but I am also on Audioshark as Mechnutt.  By the way,  I have all new gear- Pass Labs X250 amp, Pass X1 Preamp.  I just bought a BAT VK-51se preamp to replace the X1.  I miss the tubes.  I am going to sell my X1.

I'm thinking a bigger amp with a beefy power supply might drive them better.

Found a VSX D912K (the same one purported to beat $11000 separates) for $75.

The lady (in VA) who owns it does not does not have a box to ship and would much prefer to sell it locally.

I found two classic twin powered HK receivers (HK 430 and 670) but neither of the owners are willing to ship.

So I am considering an HK 1510... http://www.harmankardon.com/estore/hk/us/product/productDetails.jsp?pid=AVR%201510
