Open baffle can spoil you for any other design speaker.
If you have the room, they like 5 feet behind them, these are great.
The drivers are two 15 inch bass units per channel (4 total) and compression drivers with waveguide for the midrange and treble.
There is an active Behringer crossover that comes with the speakers.
These need four channels of amplification, but when you set them up correctly, what a sound!
The bases are heavy anodized aluminum and these have really nice black socks.
