This unit is the newest version and in perfect condition. It is the Signature Edition with upgraded Caddock Resistor. It has 1 pair of inputs and one pair of outputs - the configuration that provides ultimate clarity - and a smooth Alps volume control. I bought it new from Luminous Audio two months ago to experiment with a passive in my system.  This is an extremely transparent volume control device that is really hard to beat if gain is not required.  Really nice solution for a purist system. For me it worked great between a dac and 10 watt SET amp driving 95db loudspeakers; and using a phono stage with same amp and speakers.  These combinations provided more than enough volume in a 25x15 listening room.  I am letting this one go as ultimately I need a unit with multiple inputs and am currently auditioning other passive solutions. I would like to sell it for $160 (I paid $220).  I will cover shipping and paypal.  I have feedback on Audiogon under username "gotog".

What's the resistor value?

I honestly don't know.  On the bottom of the unit there is a sticker that says "4.9 Sig".  I am assuming that Sig specifies that it is a "Signature Edition", but I don't know what the 4.9 means. Sorry I can't be of more help.
