Bryston 6b Setup Help Part 2
« on: 2 Feb 2014, 06:18 pm »
I apologize if these are painful dumb questions, but I am upgrading from Dynacos and moving up a couple of decades.  I would like to drive a pair of 8 ohm subs with this single amp.  Would each sub go in there perspective left and right red and black outputs in Parallel Output?  I am guessing this is later 6B before they morphed into the 7B.

Hi

Use the SERIES mode and use just the RED binding posts for both woofers.

Thanks, but where do the negative black wires go?  Would you just connect the negative leads between the two subs?

The two positives go on one red terminal and the two negatives go on the Other Red terminal.

Thanks again James.  The 6B's on my DQ-10's really sing.  The single 6B on the DW-1 subs has great bass, but I am missing the subs in stereo on some newer material and may have to go back my Rotel.  Anyway.... if this is your guys idea of planned obsolescence keep it up, very pleased with the sound and I'll be hanging out in the 80's for a bit longer.
