and expected tube life of 50 years !!

Will it become  more common to see something similar to Bob's "DC restore circuit" in other amps ?  ( I know Roger does something to extend tube life in some of his amps but not sure if it's simolar or not).  It would sure be nice to see this become more common

Is it really a 20 year warranty if the expected lifespan of the company offering it is a few years?

Lol,  yeah that's what I was thinking as well.   Surely Mr. Carver is a mover and shaker in the industry, but his business plans always seem to be changing.

Good one!
For the people who have purchased the Carver tube amps, has anyone required a tube replacement?

Exactly what I was thinking.  Hell, if I were Bob's age I'd give them a 100 year warranty!

Add my name to this.  Thinking a Chinese or Russian output tube is going to last that long is absurd.  Even my favorite NOS MIL -SPEC power tubes such as 807/1625 on occasion go south, and I would dare argue that tubes of your were made with better materials, quality control, and overall knowledge.  Peoples lives depended on a properly working 807/1625!

At the 2012 Axpona show in Jacksonville I heard those speakers bi-amped with (4) of those Raven 350 mono blocks.  HUGE sound.... stole the show in my opinion.

Here's a photo I found online of the room at the Jax show.

That skinny briefcase looking thing against the back wall to the right is a Sunfire SubRosa subwoofer... that thing defies everything I ever thought I knew about bass speakers too.

If they could knock one of the 2's off of the price I could swing it!
Otherwise, I'll stick with what I've got.

Freo, I believe, this is a "replacement warranty," not a guarantee of tube life...something he can afford to do at those prices and factored in when they were determined

Then he's ripping people off as there's no way he can honor that commitment in 50 years.

Absolutely, Steve. He became a serial entrepreneur creating and flipping audio companies at an average of about one every 10 years. Selling company, remaining as consultant or "head designer" for a while and, then, moving on to create another company or venture...notable is that failed last short lived venture attempt of his with Emotiva (which, nonetheless, as you know, ended up with Emotiva acquiring some of his key tube electronics designs--being used as the basis for the launching of Emotiva's own US produced line of tube electronics).

huh, I was not aware of that part.   Are they made under the Emotiva name, and are they any good?  Now I'm curious.

Line is not out yet. I do not know the details but an insider informed me that Emotiva acquiring some of Carver's tube designs facilitated the dissolution of the intended Emotiva/Bob Carver deal. Emotiva has now, I believe, a new 40,000 SF production facility in the vicinity of Nashville for their "made in the USA" initiative, which includes, at this initial stage, production of their top Audio Visual Processor (and, gradually, several other state of the art usb/DSD digital audio products), plus that forthcoming new line of Tube Electronics (as I understand, currently in the works).
