Thanks for the comment. They were refoamed professionally just before I got them, and the work was nicely done (you can see that the woofers were also reconed), using good quality surrounds. I've got three pair of Type Ks right now (hence the sale), and I'd agree with your description. For me, the Ks were a big step up from Dynaudio X12s--far more open and natural. I haven't heard them with tubes (everyone says that's the way to go!), but I've used them with Naim and Creeks integrateds, a 3886 gainclone, and a 100-watt HK solid state, and haven't found them to be fussy about amps. They're excellent speakers and a real bargain.
