I will also include the new tonearm by Touraj Moghaddam.
There are a lot of info and reviews on the Apparition 12 and Woody tonearm.

The Alphason, Ortofon and Sumiko top shelf pivoted arms are said to be good.  Might be a review or two online somewhere.  Or, you can buy the Jelco 750 and save yourself a thousand clams.  Jelco makes those and formerly made Koetsu arms as well plus some others I can't recall for certain.  The looks of that Siggwan is certainly an eye catcher and a brain teaser.  This should be a good topic.  Nice.

Do you want good, or great, or money no object? There should be some kind of budget range explained or you will get suggestions all over the place.

The manufacturers who make the (relatively affordable) best (not money no object) ...
Graham Phantom
Kuzma 4 point
Triplanar
SME V
Clearaudio
Moerch
Schroeder

probably several others I've forgotten.

Trans Fi Terminator T3Pro. I love mine and it's a bargain to boot.

The VPI uni-pivot arms routinely score well in the publications, as does the recent printed arm from VPI. They can he had in 9,10 and 12'' lengths.

The Basis uni-pivot is well regarded, as are the arms from Phantom.

Be well,

Mark

The Audiomods arms are very good for the price. They are remanufactured Rega RB 250 and RB 251 arms. The newest series bare little resemblence to the Regas. Some reviewers claim they match the sound of some SME models. You can buy a fully modded arm or a kit to do the mod yourself.

A great starting point for sure. I'd also add Helius arms to that list. I quite want to hear those.

I think that maybe to be helpful it might be nice to discuss the specific features of arms that makes them distinctive and sets them apart from others.

I have loved my Moerch DP-6 and now the DP-8. There are a few reasons I went with the Moerch arms. On the convenience side, they have swappable armwands of that gives the tonearm different effective masses depending on the armwand weight. The swappable armwands also allow you to easily swap out cartridges, without the integrity compromises that can some from arms with swappable headshells.

And as for the move from the DP-6 to DP-8, oh the bass performance. The lateral weights in the DP-8 design are just fabulous (a thread on adding lateral weight to a tonearm has been recently added).

The Audiomods are great in that price range. I moved from the Rega RB-301 that came with my Rock 7 to an Audiomods and it was quite the nice improvement.

And you have the DIY kit option if you choose, though not all mods in the assembled Audiomods are included in the kit. Some seem to be a bit too tricky, IIRC.

Other current contenders, at least according to the reviewers and those who have taken the plunge:

AMG - This is a unique 12" arm and comes on the V-12 table for around $16.5.  It's probably sold separately?  It has some kind of retaining spring  for vertical motion so the arm has a total of 2 pivots.  These vertical springs were inspired by helicopter rotor retaining springs.

Reed - The newer 3P arm has VTA/SRA and azimuth on-the-fly, magnetic anti-skate, and a 3 pivot design that uses magnetic stabilizers.

The Reed 3Q is a laser guided smart arm.  Seriously, it has a laser to aid in setting VTA and azimuth:

Oh and the arm used on the Well Tempered Versalex is also sold separately. the silicon-golf ball approach is a unique one, and I loved the sound of my Well Tempered Amadeus table.
