Hey fellas,

This is a little off topic but I frequent the GR forums and just wanted to share my thoughts on the anticables for those interested.

So you have used speaker cable from Home Depot, some Zip cord, some Monster Cable, and extension cords... And you have now stepped up to another cheap but slightly better Anti-Cable.  :green:  You only scratched the surface. There are cables in magnitudes of orders better than that. Better hang on. You are headed down a road full of surprises. It will be a fun journey.

Ha! Yeah man! I'm excited for the journey and hope I'll get more chances hear more stuff!

You have a favorite cable man? Maybe they will send me a sample to compare with the anticables!

Cables are what got me into this crazy hobby almost 20 years ago.  (Damn!  Has it really been that long?)

Kimber Kable PBJ and 4TC completely blew me away and revealed the details I had never noticed before.

Nice work Ron, I had Anticables for a while and liked them. Try to get your hands on one of Pete's (Triode Labs) Power cords, things wont be quite so subtle. Keep up the good work, enjoyed all your reviews. Gonna pick up a spin clean one of these days.

High End cables first got written about in the mid-70's when Bob Fulton offered audiophiles his speaker cables. Bob was a speaker and amplifier designer, and his speaker cables ended the days of zip-chord speaker wire and free-with-the-component inter-connects.

I am curious as the consensus here seems to be "Triode Wire" cables are in fact well beyond Anticables. From what I see so far though is that Triode wires are double or more in cost across the board.

Looks like they only make Power cables, and Speaker cables.

Has there been direct comparison of the 7 gauge Triode wire power cable vs. the new Anticable power cables?

The Anticable speaker cables have been around more than a decade, but not their power cables.

What is the suggested power cable, and speaker cable pair by Triode wire to compare to the Anticable top versions?

Thanks

I think the comparison you are asking for is a comparison of one of the best budget cables (of cables in the in the lowest price levels) to one of the best cost no object designed cables that are not expensive. I consider Pete's (Triode Wire) speaker cables to be a great "budget cable" when comparing all of the best cost no object cables. I don't think it is much of a comparison to compare the two. They are in completely different classes.
