As always, the system was sounding very good in Wayne's booth on sunday afternoon. I just wanted to say thanks to Wayne for a couple of things, having Big B. by my home and one of Bolder's latest products.
The RM40s have never sounded better, thanks to Brian C. He does know how to extract the very best from his speakers.
When he says SMALL amounts of putty, he means small amouts of putty. His delightful wife Shirely was helping him and after 6 or 7 trips to each speaker I was floored to find that only a pea size piece was removed and boy did it clean up the midrange and help the bass definition. Note, it was how it was removed. Just a sliver of putty under the nail...not a thumbnail!
I am listening to Wayne's latest interconnect, a pair I purchased at the show. WOW! Ther Nitro and Nitro Bybee versions are excellent, but the new wire is better than anything else I have heard in my system. Placed between Denon and preamp it is a definite step up. I agree completely with Tyson's evaluation.
The show was great fun. Sorry to hear about your daughter's laptop. Guess I will have to buy another pair of interconnects
