What alternatives for C-7 connection???
« on: 10 Aug 2004, 11:53 am »
C-7 and C-8 are the little connectors found on various electronics like the Panasonic digital amps, DVD players, Tivo etc.
Only today did I see that PS Audio now will terminate its budget power cord with the C-7 "plug" (pictured below on right)--

Question is:  What are the alternatives if you have a Panny digital amp (or similar)??
What I already know:  Audioquest NRG (from Audio Advisor)

Hell Tonto, you are thorough...I got nada to add.  Thanks for the list...I have a Pioneer DVD with that connection and bought an adaptor for it to use my selection of various power cords here.

FYI - it was a nice upgrade for cheap (as I already had spare power cords around)  :)

How cheap WAS it???   I saw Take Five's c-7 adaptor fairly cheap on the website, but then it looked like Canada to US shipping would be pretty high.
The cryo'd Ven Haus adaptor is $19 I think.

I got mine used on Audiogon for, I think, $20 with shipping.  They are rather rediculously priced, ain't they?  I saw Take 5's shipping charges a while back...friggin' hideous.

www.mr-cable.com has them for $17.95 and $22.95 (cryo'ed), but Chris VH's deal sounds like the best I've heard of.
