Interesting that as music sales decline, LP sales trend the other way. Although LP sales are still a single digit % of overall album sales.

I understand completely. It's not hard to figure out, just trust your ears.

Those numbers make "touting the 'comeback' of vinyl a little bit like telling a double amputee that at least he won't have to spend money on winter gloves," says Claire Suddath at Bloomberg Businessweek.

I was thinking more shoes than gloves. Without arms it would be hard to play a record, eh?

For me vinyl never went away. 8)

I would not go as far to say Vinyl is better then CD or CD is better than vinyl like some people would say. The people that say one is better than the other just have not heard a good example of both. I have heard good and bad examples of both, it just depends on how well it’s been done. People should just say they prefer one to the other and there is nothing wrong with that.

Saying one is better than the other is like saying right-handed people are better than left-handed people, we all know this to be wrong they are just different.

Hi toocool4 and all Audio Circle members.
Well written and I agree 200% with you.
I usualy say: Not better, different.
Therefore CD is different than vinyl and vinyl is different then CD,
however, your wording is better and more precise.
I can easily admit that someone is better than me with word,
especially that English is my second language, French being my first.

I agree witth the sentiment that vinyl and Cd are just two forms of the same enjoyable thing: recorded music.
Both are good. Just slightly different.
My CD playback is great. So is my LP playback.
Love them both.
As for the baffling part... Maybe baffling to non music lovers.
