Can you think of a reason this may be happening?

My BDP-1 / Lampizator Level 4 Generation 4 will play 192/24 files through the BNC out/in.
Using XLR to connect the 2, I can play redbook and 96/24.  Anything above 96/24 is clicking or static. 
Before I start shipping equipment for repair, is there a possible firmware or software solution or perhaps something I am missing?

I have tried 3 different AES/EBU digital cables and feel comfortable in excluding the interconnect as a problem.

Did you try resetting the dac. There maybe a reset on that dac.

Hi Setamp,

I havn't been able to find any specs on this dac, my suspicion would be either the dac its self or perhaps the cable.  The signal output from the AES/EBU and bnc are derived from the same source and tested before going on burn in.

Interesting, I haven't tried anything above 96/24 with the AES/EBU connection from my BDP (since I don't have any such files).

Thanks all.  I have been working with Lampizator and will send it to their NJ repair facility.  I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something stupid before shipping it off.

I have a remote certain files need the remote 9 pushed to work, I think it's in the users manual
