YouTube charges a fee for some videos?
« on: 7 Jan 2014, 12:50 am »
I was in the mood for some "Trombone Shorty", specifically a full album.
A common practice for me, looking for full albums I can stream while I carry on with life.

Never...and I mean "never", have I seen YouTube charge to watch a video.

I'm almost tempted, but I wonder what the fee paid gets me. Unlimited access to the video forever, or just today, or...???

Check out the link to the video I ran across;

Thoughts?

First I've ever heard of such a thing, too.

It could be the content providor charging the fee (although of course with the help of the youtube software).

In either case, I guess that's their right.

The video was posted by Qello, an HD music video streaming service. Think Pandora, but for videos.

Aahhh... thanks all for the info.
Looks tempting, but it also looks like another expensive hobby of buying HD videos.
Never heard of Quello, but will have to check them out. Curious if anybody had ever bought/rented a Youtube video.
