« on: 3 Jan 2014, 03:33 pm »
I just got home and found my BDP-1 compleately dead. No lights or display........Is there an internal fuse if i remove the cover ?
Or should it just be returned to shop ?

best regards Lars

I'd try completely unplugging it for awhile as that might reset it.
That happened to me awhile ago, haven't had a problem since.

Hi Lars

Email Mike Pickett as it may be a fuse.

Than You all for responding. I opened the player, removed the fuses, they turned out ok, so i put them back in and connected the powercord. I heard a faint buzz, but nothing happened. Grabbed the powercord and tried to see if there was a loose contact, and bending the powercord sligtly upward it came back to life. So far so good, i´ll have to keep an eye on the heavy wireworld cable so it does not put a strain on the contact.

It seems obvious that you should do more than be pleased that it's "so far so good", and in fact you should replace that power cord.
