I am making some configuration changes and the new design will displace my wonderful tower speakers. These were "born" over the Summer of 2013 and were shown at the California Audio Show, bought by me from Salk as a demo with 3-5 hours of play time. They arrived in perfect (as new) condition and are flawless. The sound is spectacular, very easy to integrate to the room due to size and are not sensitive with placement. I am using in a 14' by 19' listening room and they are the best speaker I have tried for this space, kind of a Goldilocks series of attributes. The Chestnut burl is a special "premium veneer" and they are, quite easily, the best looking speakers I have ever owned. They are broken-in and looking for a music lover's home. I am offering them for $1000 off retail or $3700 plus shipping and paypal fees. I am happy to take personal checks with a reasonable "hold to clear" delay of shipping. Updates per member questions:
1. All original packaging, magnetically attaching grills (unused), and included accessories included.
2. Cardas CCGG binding posts - billet copper posts, gold plate. Billet Copper nut. Glass filled nylon insulator. configured for Full-Range cables (non-biwire setup, two posts per speaker)
3. Tweeter offset design: the tweeter is offset from the baffle center to improve performance via "separation" of the tweeter from the woofer axis. The effect is improved imaging, soundstage and "air" around the notes and band members. Coherence is maintained and seamless. This design, the amazing crossover, unparalleled cabinetry, resonance control and highest quality parts add up to a speaker that is being regarded as "special". Having owned many $15K+ speakers over the last 25 years, I will quote a fellow Audio Circle member's recent post, "Damn these are good..." I think that sums up my personal assessment as well.
4. I referred to the speaker as a "Goldilocks" or just-right synergy of size, performance and beauty in the above description. My comment may have lead a reader to assume this is limited for the room size I stated. I tried them in a smaller room (9' x 11') and they were excellent as well. I run them 25" away from the wall. In the smaller room I had them 12" away from the wall. These speakers can also fill a larger volume room without stress, given SPL performance and realizing these speakers can exceed the capacity of my room.
