Looking at the Vandersteen VLR's.  Has any member listened to this model?

As a devotee of single driver designs I like coaxials. The specifications I find are quite average and no pricing mentioned.  Without knowing more I'd be tempted to go with a single driver with better efficiency (like Omega).

I've spent quite a bit of time with the VLR's.  They are great speakers, exactly what you would expect from Vandersteen.

Sorry, from my iPhone I didn't see the price (I like much about Vandersteen designs but $1,200/pair seems high versus other Vandys or brands).  How do they compare sound-wise with other Vandys/speakers?

Note the well reviewed KEF XA300 (another consumer coaxial) are $800/pair with amps/DAC, the respected active ported coaxial studio monitor Equator Audio D5 is $400 with better bass extension, and any of the current Omega speakers using the new RS5 driver are 7 dB more efficient and go lower for less money.
