Need an Active Crossover?

Not sure if any of you local guys need or want an active crossover but I ran across this on our local Craigslist
http://stlouis.craigslist.org/ele/4249154654.html
It's an Audio Research EC-2, 2 way tubed active crossover. The guy wants $450 which isn't too bad. The AR XO does a decent job though it does have that AR "house sound". That's easy to cure, just swap the coupling caps. It looks like it has the original power supply caps too. You might want to swap those out while you've got the soldering iron out.
Not a bad deal especially if you can talk him down a few bucks.

Scott, he's been posting that Xover on CL for many months. The ad comes and goes. Gotta admit to being curious about it but I'll stick with my DQ-LP-1.

Neat. I could have some fun with that.
....but if I really wanted such a thing, I'd get that neato thing Scott has that contains knobs and dials and such.
