For sale is my Conrad Johnson MV-60 in excellent 8/10 condition. It is complete with, original box and packing materials, manual, biasing tool, detachable power cord, and a lot of excellent tubes as follows :
1. 5 New Tung Sol EL-34's (quad plus 1 spare) with less than 100 hrs use
2. Matched quad of Cryoset Mullard reissue EL-34's with less than 100 hrs use
2. New matched pair of GE 6SN7 WGTA's brown base with less than 100 hrs use
The following are the tubes I bought along with the amp from the original owner. Not sure of hours on them. Small signal tubes last a LONG time when properly used / implemented so I have no reservations about life left on them. The rest may have a lot of life or they may not. I am just not sure. I know they are certainly still useable and at least can be held onto as spares.
3. Matched pair of Sylvania 12AX7's (blue labels)
4. Matched pair of COVETED Telefunken 12AX7's (diamond base smooth plates from Upscale Audio)
5. Matched pair of RCA 12AU7's (markings are rubbed off the tubes, but have RCA boxes)
6. Matched pair of Sylvania 6SN7 WGTA's brown base (from Upscale Audio)
7. Original supplied matched pair of 6SN7's which I'm pretty sure are Sovteks (markings are rubbed off)
8. Original supplied quad of Sovtek EL-34's
There you have it. I'll try to post better pics of the amp soon. All things considered, I believe what I have here is quite a bargain. This is one of the very best EL-34 based amps around (and it doesn't cost and arm and a leg) which is why these don't show up for sale often and when they do they sell pretty quick. Not to mention, the MV-60 can be upgraded to the MV-60SE if one so chooses......but, I like EL-34's and the amp sounds so good as-is. Why bother?
