Mavericks and WD or hard drive CRASH

I was one of the unlucky ones and had my partition destroyed after Mavericks killed my WD external drive. All my music and videos on it, the only saving grace is a back up but who knows.. it was connected too.

WD had months to test Mavericks since DP1 back in June. Unbelievable that they didn't notice this or have a fix by the time Mavericks was released

Attached it to another computer, everything there. Did a disk utility and hooked it back up. Appears all good. Running back up as I type to make sure I have everything in two places.
