I recently bought a DIY dac and would like to put it in a nicer enclosure. I would prefer a black brushed aluminum case, but silver would be alright. If necessary, I can drill the holes. It will be straightforward with an led and on/off switch, an IEC and RCA jacks and a coax input. I likely don't need any engraving on the front plate. I have had metal decals made before and they turned out very nice. It would be best to have the enclosure be the widest horizontally. Any suggestions would be welcome.

TrungT's suggestion is great if it's one board, and you need cheap and cheerful. Otherwise, you could always check out the DIYAudio store's collection of fancy-schmancy chassis.

personally I have had very good experience and got great quality with modushop (Galaxy series) ,frontpanelexpress and vt4 . Have no experience with the others so far .

Couple more things.
Depending on where you are, shipping can be expensive, so make sure you include shipping when comparing costs.

IEC's are a little tricky to make if you haven't done it before.
