I unfortunately upgraded to OS 10.9, without checking HiFace compatibility, and the HiFace is incompatible with the operating system.  There were problems with the HiFace driver early on, and then the device operated for years without difficulties, but M2Tech doesn't seem to anticipate issues with operating system updates, and the HiFace is getting a little long in the tooth, and I am looking for suggestions for an inexpensive USB to SPDIF adapter, preferably an adapter without drivers.

I am using a MacBook Air -> Pure Music -> HiFace with BNC output (the MBA is temporarily streaming through an Apple TV that feeds the DAC with a toslink cable -> E.E. DAC -> electronic crossover -> pre-amp -> amps -> speakers

Thanks

Audiophilleo 2 with power pack (battery). But it costs more than the JKenny.

Does anyone have experience with John Kenny's new products?
