best multi platform browser, chrome?
« on: 1 Nov 2013, 02:15 pm »
Hi
Like many people these days, I use a few different machines to browse, windows 7 at work, macbook at home and iphone everywhere else.

Had been using google bookmarks and different browsers, but really not a very good solution.

Last night, I loaded Chrome on my macbook and iphone, seems to be a pretty good way to browse on different machines.

Are there better solutions than Chrome?

Any drawbacks to Chrome?  (other than letting google farther into my life ;)  )

I use Chrome.  I use Safari when a 64 bit browser is needed.

I just looked a little into firefox.

The problem is there is not a firefox app for my iphone.  Looks there are some apps to sync up, but it doesn't seem to be like chrome where they have versions for all the platforms I want to run on.

Not sure how to define "best" but Opera is another one that seems to run on all your platforms: http://www.opera.com/
